2006 North American Indigenous Games
The day opened on Sloan Lake where Katelyn Beale pulled five lengths ahead of the competition to win GOLD in the female 1000m final. The pullers continued to weigh down their canoes with golden medallions gathering a total of 10 as well as adding a couple of Silvers and two bronze for a total of 14. Tyrone Sylvester and CeCe Pelkey own 3 Gold a piece, Katelyn Beale picked up a Gold and Silver, while Shane Sylvester brings home 2 Gold, Craig Wilson one Gold, Kristin Lafortune a Silver and Sandi and Megan Charlie each grabbed a bronze.
